Whilst Adam is away teaching at yogacrete.co.uk, Rachel Barlow will be covering his Mysore classes. We are very happy to have her and look forward to our students getting to practice with her May-Sept.
Rachel is an Ashtanga yoga teacher with 11 years’ teaching experience and a Movement and Remedial Soft Tissue Therapist working clinically for the past 9 years. She has been practicing yoga since 2001 and has had a daily Ashtanga practice since 2005. Until recently Rachel was practicing Advanced A bodyworker, Hamish Hendry.
She is influenced by her experience as a body worker and her own experiential practice to combine all her knowledge into her teaching.
A space to dedicated to the practice of Ashtanga Yoga, as well as other healing traditions in the heart of the Cretan countryside. Located in Stavros, a small fishing village to the north of the island of Crete, Greece, we offer daily Mysore classes as well as a guesthouse and fantastic Cretan food.
Adam has over 10 years experience teaching Ashtanga yoga and has maintained his own daily self practice since 1999. He is a dedicated student of Sharath Jois at the K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore India where he has completed the Advanced A series of postures and received Level 2 Authorisation to teach the full intermediate series.
Adam teaches through his unique insight into understanding the energy and breath of the postures and the openings required to advance through the sequence in a safe and pain free way. His aim is to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in which students can have their own experience of yoga and enjoy the many benefits from this powerful system.
