Adam has been teaching Ashtanga yoga for over 10 years and is a dedicated student of Sharath Jois at the K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI) in Mysore India where he has completed the Advanced A series of postures. He has received Level 2 Authorisation to teach the full intermediate series and has assisted Sharath in the shala in Mysore.
Having maintained a daily self-practice for the past 14 years Adam has gained a unique insight into understanding the energy and breath of the postures and the openings required to advance through the sequence in a safe and pain-free way.
Adam is inspired to share his experience and knowledge of Ashtanga yoga and his aim is to create a space to support the growth of the practice in a friendly environment where people of any level feel welcome. His dedication to the practice of Ashtanga in the style as taught in Mysore is the foundation of his life and gives him the feeling of home wherever he is.
He is also a vegetarian chef and has cooked on yoga retreats and in Buddhist centres, when he isn’t teaching you can find him cooking or shopping for ingredients and can follow him on the food blog Keen’s Kitchen.
